Fresh Seafood Shipping
East Coast Gourmet ships fresh seafood and seafood gifts, including live Maine lobster, lobster tails, and New England clam chowder coast-to-coast.
Perishable products are shipped via overnight or 2 -day delivery, depending on the product and location. Your cost is determined by the total cost of your ordered items to each separate shipping address.
- All live seafood items, including fresh live lobster, clams, mussels and steamer clams require overnight delivery. Delivery is available Tuesday-Friday. Saturday is available to most areas for an extra charge.
- Frozen seafood items, such as lobster tails and New England clam chowder can be shipped 2-day delivery Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday.
- Dry goods and other non-perishable items are shipped via ground delivery and arrive in 1-7 days after being shipped.
Seafood Gifts Delivery Cut-off
Orders placed before 10:30 a.m. EST can be shipped the same day. If you place an order for a future date, your order will be held and then shipped accordingly to satisfy your delivery request. You will receive shipment confirmation via email when your order shipment takes place.
Continental US Shipping Charges
Shipping charges apply for each name and address.
Saturday delivery, incur an additional charge of $15.95 & is not available to some rural area. Shipping to limited locations in Alaska and HI is an extra $20
- We are unable to ship outside the USA, including Puerto Rico, U.S. Possessions, and Canada.
- All shipments require a street address. We cannot ship to Post Office, Military APO or FPO boxes.
- No delivery on Sunday or Monday & major holidays.
- Saturday Delivery is not available to some rural areas. Please check your zip code with FedEX at 800-463-3339.
For Gift Givers
Please ALERT the recipient you are sending a perishable package. It is your responsibility to notify your gift recipient what day they should expect their delivery. All orders are shipped as "DRIVER RELEASE". This means the package will be delivered to the recipient address with no signature required. Packages can be left at any exterior door location. Double Check Addresses, especially your ship to zip code. If you are unsure of your recipient's plans, we recommend sending a gift certificate.
Seafood Holiday Delivery
East Coast Gourmet strongly recommends having your gift arrive a few days before a major holiday. Our carriers do not deliver on New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day or the day following these holidays. Our carrier is also closed on 4th July, Memorial Day and Labor Day, and as a result cannot delivery the day following these holidays. Deliveries are ordinarily made between the hours of 9:00 am and 5 pm, for major holidays later delivery times should be expected.
Fresh Seafood Delivery Guarantee
We guarantee delivery to the address provided by the date requested on your order. We will make every attempt to verify the address and delivery information and reserve the right to make changes should an error be found. We cannot guarantee delivery delays due to incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or weather which delays our national carriers. We cannot be responsible for packages damaged or stolen once delivery has been made.
Guarantee & Returns
We've taken great pride in sharing with you the bounty of New England. All our products are guaranteed to be fresh and arrive in perfect condition. Damage due to incorrect or incomplete addresses, unattended packages or improper storage and handling voids our guarantee. East coast gourmet assumes no responsibility for orders picked up by customers after 5:30 p.m . East Coast Gourmet recommends the lobster be prepared the same day. If you must keep them an additional day, you do so at your own risk. All claims must be made on day of delivery by calling 888-4CHOWDA. No claims will be honored if not made on day of delivery. (We reserve the right to fully investigate claims that we believe to be unfounded or fraudulent.)
East Coast Gourmet guarantees your satisfaction. Because we are dealing with food, in most cases we do not accept returns, but we will replace or give full credit for any product which you are not happy with.
If the item of your choice is unavailable or does not meet our high standards for quality, we may need to substitute an item of equal or greater value.

East Coast Gourmet offers free subscription to our monthly newsletter, Lobster Tales. We also send e-mail updates and notices of seasonal specials. These services may be requested (or cancelled) through the customer account pages used to establish and maintain your East Coast Gourmet account. We also send printed catalogs and occasional announcements to individuals who place orders with East Coast Gourmet.
