The "East Coast Gourmet"
His name is Charles, though we call him Charlie (which he hates). He phones once in a while and suggests meeting us for lunch or dinner. We always say yes, of course because we never know where we're going to end up or what we're going to eat, but we do know that we'll have one of the best meals of our lives.
A conversation with Charlie always revolves around food. While we eat, he'll tell us about a trip he took to Vermont where he found a wonderful cheese, or a flourless chocolate torte he had last week, or the proper way to prepare oyster stew. And, since he's discovered e-mail, he's constantly sending us recipes, articles he's read about food or wine or restaurants, and maps, whose destination is a small farm or market where the products are fresh, unique, or just delicious.
So, if you're like us - intrigued by fine food - check back periodically to see what Charlie has found for us. In the meantime, be sure to visit Charlie's Blog -- a great resource section for original seafood recipes, cooking tips, and the latest food finds from Charlie.
About East Coast Gourmet
The New England coast is dotted with "lobster shacks,"--unpretentious little restaurants where the seafood is mere hours out of the ocean; live lobsters, clams, fresh fish, and scallops purchased right from local fisherman at the adjacent dock. At East Coast Gourmet, we bring the taste and flavors of the East Coast right to your doorstep. In your home, the catch of the day is always fresh and ready to serve!
For those eager for summer breezes and fresh salt-water air, East Coast Gourmet is the best spot on the coast. There is truly something for every occasion--elegant dinner parties, birthdays, anniversaries, special lobster bakes, our chefs prepare the finest gourmet seafood around.
